Lebron James becomes the third highest scorer in NBA history

The record books for the top three highest scorers in the history of the NBA were updated on Thursday night after a 27-point performance from LeBron James in a match-up between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets.

James started the game trailing Kobe Bryant by just 17 points in the NBA all-time scorers list. Bryant’s total of 33,643 points scored was eclipsed on the night by 12 points by James who finished with 29 points against the 76ers.

Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone have more career points (38387 and 36928 respectively).
