Max Holloway vs Calvin Kattar

Max “Blessed” Holloway (Record: 22-6-0) set the UFC record books on fire in what many have called ‘the greatest UFC main-event ever’ – a five-round UFC fight against American Calvin Kattar (Record: 22-5-0) on Yas Island, UAE for “UFC Fight Island” – 16th January, 2021.

Winning by unanimous decision (50-43, 50-43, 50-42) Holloway landed a UFC-Record 445 Significant Strikes during five bloody rounds. This represented 59% of the 746 blows he attempted to land on Kattar.

After the fight The President of the UFC Dana White said that “Holloway deserves another shot at the division’s champion Volkanovski”.

In regard to Kattar’s condition after the fight, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto Quoted his head coach Tyson Chartier “He’s doing okay. Some staples in the head and a broken nose and bruising”.
